Port City Militia: Aar For Road To No Ends Game

Wow. What a weekend!

I hope everyone got home safe. Many things stood out to me this weekend but the greatest for me was seeing the Knowing operate as a single cohesive unit all weekend long. SOVA, SSK, S&D, Fracture, THC, PCM, Wilmington and ABP Locals alike. Great job meshing together as a side. It was a honor working with you all and in some cases against you. (Sunday)

To Greenman and the Hidden you all fought hard all weekend long. As I learned this weekend generaling is not an easy thing to do. You guys stuck with it and never gave up. Nothing but props to everyone on the Hidden.

Now to the good stuff!

David's insane helicopter drop!!!!

So its about 2pm Sat, missions are running, radios are going crazy. When I receive a report of an incoming dragon rider with troops. We setup a defense in our base as they break the wood line and enter our base. I figured they were trying use a scare tactic and fly through the middle to get us jumpy. Boy was I wrong.

They cornered up on the netting about 20 feet from our base right in the open. Everyone is going crazy, were not sure what there doing yet. Then I hear the count down begin....

I scream aim at their ankles as I knew once the count got to 1 what would happen. I didn't see this coming at all at the time but what they were doing was BRILLIANT. They formed a human shield and put the demo guy in the back with the satchel charge.

Right after one, on the count the human shields took the hits and the demo guy got the throw off. Time seemed to stop for me at this point. The throw was perfect. Nice and high and it was right on target coming right at me....

However Willow from SOVA, our DEMO guy read the play before anyone knew what was happening. He had prepositioned himself between the CP and the dragon riders. So when that throw happened Willow jumped up and batted the satchel down blowing himself and everyone else up around him BUT saved the CP!!!

WOW. Brass balls doesn't even come close to what Section 8 pulled off! As far as I'm concerned you guys DID score. Epic Epic Epic!

Finding the oracle. I've seen alot of different things when it comes to props. However I've never seen one buried before... It took the Knowing 30 minutes to figure out that the only thing in the area where the oracle cup was to be found via our oracle quest map was a shovel and a map... Which I saw but thought nothing of it. Along with many other players...

Then it took me several deaths / re spawns before a SSK member came up to me and said "Hey there's a map and a shovel over there!"

Right then it clicked. Before you knew it we moved the line forward and 5 players started digging with their hands and the shovel. After a couple minutes we had obtained the cup. The entire time both sides were fighting for this area over the Oracle cup. This was a fun mission.

I want to thank Adventure Beach staff and Shadow Group for the effort they put into this game. Kevin as always, thanks for looking out for the players and coming up with new and wild things for the sides to fight over!

Special thanks to Deadbox apparel, and Pbuprising.com for your continued support.

See you all in MPP Charleston next month!
