NPPL, PB2X Find New Homes… Hopefully

Just a couple of days ago, on Feb 24th, the NPPL along with other major paintball brands like the ultra popular Paintball2Xtremes paintball magazine, were auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Why were they for sale?  David over at Paintball.About.com has the explanation, as well as links to all the items/brands/equipment that was up for grabs.

With the NPPL's joint release with Activision for the paintball game NPPL Championship Paintball 2009, I can only wonder how something like this managed to come about.  Granted, the game does suck, but what about the success of PB2X?  You think that if you owned these two companies you could at least manage to cover expenses...

Hopefully the new owners at least try to save PB2X, it was a great magazine, one I'd hate to see it go.
