Paintball Barrels
Paintball barrels come in all sorts of sizes and styles. Some are aluminum, some are ceramic, some are stainless steel, and some are a combination. The type of material a paintball barrel is made of is often said to affect the grade of smoothness inside the barrel. A smoother finish inside the paintball barrel translates to less friction, which is a good thing because too much friction inside the barrel can affect it's air efficiency.
Although paintballs are generally all have bore sizes of .68 caliber, paintball sizes can vary anywhere from .680-.689 and even a difference that small can affect your barrel's performance. It's good to have a few barrels that all vary in bore sizes. To match the paintballs you are shooting with a paintball barrel, set a paintball on the end where it will shoot out of. If the paintball rolls out and falls out, the paintball is too small for that barrel. If the paintball gets stuck halfway, it's just a little to small for the barrel. If the paintball sits in the barrel near the top and you can shoot it out with your mouth like a dart out of a blowgun, it's a good match!
General eBay Buying Tips
- Check the seller's feedback rating. You probably won't want to buy from someone with a horrible feedback rating, so make sure they have a good one before you buy it. See what other buyers said about this seller.
- Read the description carefully. Read it all the way through and make sure you don't miss anything.
- Find out what the shipping cost is before you buy it. Don't wait untill the end of the auction to find out that your shipping costs are twice as expensive as what you bought.
- Find out what payment methods they accept. Many sellers will accept Paypal as a method of payment.
