Tips for buying Air Systems & Accessories on Ebay
Whether you are buying a paintball tank, or a remote, chances are that you can find it for sale on eBay. Before you click the buy button, here are some tips for buying your paintball air systems and accessories on eBay.
HPA Tanks - They may be called Nitro, nitrogen, compressed air, or HPA tanks, they are all the same thing. Check to see the date that they last were hydrotested. Tanks need to be hydrotested every 3-5 years. If it needs to be hydrotested, you'll have to send it in somewhere to get it done. It's simple and not too expensive ($16-$25).
Also, if the tank has a built in regulator, make sure the seller says it all works.
CO2 Tanks - Just make sure the tank is in useable condition, and hasn't expired. If it has expired it should be hydrotested, and the cost of hydrotesting is often more expensive than the CO2 tank itself.
General eBay Buying Tips
- Check the seller's feedback rating. You probably won't want to buy from someone with a horrible feedback rating, so make sure they have a good one before you buy it. See what other buyers said about this seller.
- Read the description carefully. Read it all the way through and make sure you don't miss anything.
- Find out what the shipping cost is before you buy it. Don't wait untill the end of the auction to find out that your shipping costs are twice as expensive as what you bought.
- Find out what payment methods they accept. Many sellers will accept Paypal as a method of payment.
