Rap4 Mines And Grenades

March 3, 2010

Real Action Paintball is proud to be your partner in battlefield simulation and creative defensive strategies. When you need dirty deeds done in style, you need our full line of compressed air powered simulated mines and booby trap-ready grenades. These special-purpose tools will eliminate your opponents in altogether new ways that will leave them nervous to get anywhere near your end of the field.

The RAP4 Pressure Activated Landmine is a reusable, compressed air powered, simulated landmine. A player stepping anywhere on the four inch diameter pressure plate will release the onboard charge of compressed air into a powder tray, blowing smoke simulation powder around their legs with a dramatic report. You can recess the mine an inch into the ground so it lies flat, and obscure it with a few leaves, or deploy it hastily in the corner of a bunker where they're likely to stick their foot.

Want to establish a minefield? The RAP4 Pressure Activated Landmine is available in quantities of one, two, three, five, or save big on a purchase of ten. Pick up RAP4's Mine Charger with 12gram Adapter for only $24.95, and recharge your mines and grenades up to fifteen times from a single 12gram!

The reusable M80 Landmine comes standard with smoke simulation powder, and optional burst tubes to add a really loud bang when this mine is detonated. Completely safe and paintball-compliant, they are designed to be buried shallow, and then set off with pressure from feet, vehicles, or objects being moved against them (like closing a door or moving an obstacle out of the way). The M80 is available at two price points, by size and features, to exactly meet your needs.

When you need to cover a large area with a single mine, or a series of them, check out RAP4's M18A1 Claymore Mine. The M18A1 shoots 200 6mm airsoft BBs at a time, covering up to twenty meters upon "detonation"...and a single remote can trigger up to four mines individually.

When you need to rig a tripwire to cover a doorway, detonate a charge when a prop is removed, or otherwise surprise your opponents, look into the RAP4 Hand Grenade.

The RAP4 Hand Grenade is as real as you can get to a pineapple grenade, but completely safe and paintball-compliant. Charge it with the Thunder Grenade charger or the Mine Charger with 12gram Adapter, install the explosion-simulation powder disk, make sure the safety pin is holding the spoon down, and you're ready to install the grenade in a sneaky location. Run a tripwire from the pin to a permanent anchor, and when it's pulled, the pin comes out, the spoon flips up, and boom - they're eliminated. You can adjust two internal pressure screws to make the delay from activation to detonation instantaneous, or several seconds long if you intend to let a room fill with opponents before eliminating them all at once.

RAP4 also carries the Mastermine, a refillable, reusable mine that sprays six ounces of liquid paint over a large section of trail - or a large room - to eliminate anyone who gets marked with even a drop. Rigged with a tripwire, this is a great option for games that require mines to leave a mark on opponents rather than merely simulating an explosion in their vicinity.

Whatever your scenario, RAP4 has a mine, booby trap, and grenade option just ready to be incorporated into your defensive scheme...

...and to keep your opponents guessing every time they reach for a prop.

SPPL Opener at A Pirate?s Paradise in Mesquite, NV Kicks off Aggressive Season

The Scenario Paintball Player?s League (SPPL) opened its 2010 season at A Pirate?s Paradise in Mesquite, Nevada this weekend. The event marked the 6th season of the leagues operation and the kick off to 11 SPPL tournaments taking place in the United States for 2010. The 11 scheduled events are a significant expansion to the SPPL season and mark a change in how many regional tournaments are available for teams to compete in.

?February isn?t traditionally when the paintball season begins for most leagues,? said Jason Nielson, President of the SPPL. ?We felt there was enough of a demand though, to push the season further and give players the opportunity to compete at a high level. We want to give players multiple SPPL events to participate and qualify in on a regional level.?

The Mesquite event drew teams from Nevada, Utah, Idaho and Colorado. Under cloudy skies, many teams camped at the site or got in on reasonable rates in Mesquite at the casino/hotels a short hour north of Las Vegas. While the site saw rain in the preliminary rounds on Saturday, it was all sunshine on Sunday.

Top finshers included 1st place Nasty Habitz from Idaho, 2nd place Sin City Hitmen from Nevada and 3rd place Bad Karma from Utah. The 5-man title went to Skeleton Warriors from Utah. The Sportsmanship Award was given to Sin City Hitmen. Feel The Paint from Colorado provided referees for the event. Full results, along with video and pictures can be found via the SPPL?s social media profiles and those of the teams that attended.

Up next for the SPPL is the San Diego event March 27-28 at Camp Pendelton. Teams can register at www.playsppl.com. Register early for the best deals on accommodations and paint.

About The SPPL

The SPPL (Scenario Paintball Player?s League) is a competitive paintball league that is centered on the fundamental principles of honor and camaraderie among players. The SPPL enshrines exceptional sportsmanship, as demonstrated by the League?s sportsmanship prize packages. For more information, visit http://www.playsppl.com.

Team Desert Edge Signs Sponsorship Agreement With Furious

March 3, 2010

Team Desert Edge, one of the most recognized and accomplished competitive woodsball teams in the sport, has inked a sponsorship deal with Furious Painball LLC, the maker of the most advanced paintball barrels made.

Tim Saunders, Co-Captain of Team Desert Edge points out, ?Every player is looking for the most accurate and consistent barrel available. Desert Edge has found just that. Tim continues, ?The combination of the Planet Eclipse markers and the new Furious barrels is a perfect mesh of reliability and unmatched precision.?

Desert Edge Team Captain, Dan Saunders adds, ?The quality of the new Lotus Barrel is helping our team perform better. The honing and porting are so perfect, our shots are more consistent, air is more efficient, and when a ball breaks, the next shot cleans the barrel perfectly! That keeps our shots right on target.? Dan continues, ?In competitive woods paintball, the importance of accurate shots and a self-cleaning barrel is crucial. It?s a benefit almost unheard of, that we now have.?

?This partnership is the perfect fit.? Dan says. ?Furious is a relatively small, but growing operation, and we couldn?t be more excited to be a part of the growth of such a great company. We look forward to exposing other players to such quality and reliable equipment.?

Dan continues, ?We are honored to join the Furious family with winning teams like Vicious, San Francisco Explicit and Rockstar. We look forward to continuing the winning habits in the woodsball tournament scene.?

?Matthew, at Furious is excited to work with Desert Edge, and is genuinely interested in Paintball as a whole.? Says Dan. "Matthew is currently working with the UWL (Ultimate Woodsball League) in organizing a tournament series in Malaysia. Dan adds, ?Matthew has strong ties with the paintball community, both in the U.S. and Malaysia. This may be our chance to reach the Paintball community on a more global level.?

Furious Paintball?s Matthew Nekvapil comments, ?Furious Paintball sees an opportunity in the Scenario market. We have always wanted to get in there and work with a great scenario team, which we have found with Team Desert Edge.?

Matthew continues, ?We are excited about the fact that they are enthusiastic to work with us. They have been around for some time, their results speak for themselves. At Furious, we pride ourselves on our customer service. The teams we work with is a testament to this. We feel that Desert Edge is the right fit with Furious.?

Furious Paintball specializes in custom and precision manufacturing of paintball equipment. They are most recognized by their beautifully handcrafted barrels and their ultra long lasting paintball batteries. The founder, an enthusiastic paintball player demands only the best and most reliable equipment and as a result of that, Furious Paintball came into being.

How To Win Prizes At D-day 2010!

March 1, 2010

JUNE 7TH-13TH, 2010

Congratulations and welcome to Oklahoma D-Day! You are about to participate in the World?s Largest Paintball Event. An Event so large it will challenge your every skill as a scenario paintball player. If you?re a first timer, this game is like no other in the world. If you?re a veteran you should pay particular attention to the game changes or tweaking from the previous year because the game is always evolving. Regardless, the objective of this event is for you to have a good time and experience D-Day, Oklahoma style.

Oklahoma D-Day is not your typical ?Big Game? where hundreds or even a thousand paintball players show up and attack one specific objective or play capture the flag. With 3,500 to 4,000 players that come to this event annually, it would be uncontrollable mass chaos. Rather, like the actual Invasion of Normandy, several battles unfold across the field throughout the day. Sides are awarded points for holding or taking critical objectives at key times. It is highly advisable that you study the history of the actual invasion, including individual units and their battles, as it will give insight into the missions and objectives in Oklahoma D-Day.

The event runs for an entire week with the main D-Day game starting on Saturday morning at 9 AM. During the week there are several mini-scenarios, qualification courses, and walk on speed ball games. There?s even a SPPL qualifier, the weekend before. Camping is available for a minimal charge of $5.00 and the week turns out to be an experience that you?ll never forget. What you put into it, is basically what you?ll get out of it.

Since there is so much going on, you should plan the activities that you want to attend as well as set a budget. Nothing is worse then burning up all of your paint and money before the main game. It?s bad for you and extremely bad for your side. Commanders need you out on the field, giving 110% for the entire day on Saturday. It?s fine if speed ball is more your style, but you registered for Oklahoma D-Day, not an NPPL Tournament. If you have enough money and paint to burn, by all means feel free to rock the speed ball fields all week long. Likewise, if you just came to hang out in a camp site, Yellowstone would be a better choice. But the single most important thing you can do is be out on the field swapping paint with your opponent for the entire day on Saturday!

The main game is long and it?s usually very hot. You are the only person that knows your own limitations, however for your side to be effective, you need to pace and sustain yourself. Staying hydrated is critical. At every opportunity you should be drinking water. For a quick snack at a Dead Zone, pack a couple of Power Bars. They will help sustain your energy level and get you back into the game quickly. Even though air and paint are available at certain dead zones, you should be prepared to carry most of your equipment with you since you?ll probably want stay in the action as long as possible.

Like any large scale battle in WWII, WWI or even the US Civil War, tactics, primarily on the strategic level, will decide the outcome of Oklahoma D-Day. Because of this, planning for next year?s event usually starts the day after that year?s event. It begins with the recruitment of players, organization of the units and communicating with over 2,000 players. Trust your commanders, they?ll get you through the game.

All the way,

Dewayne Convirs, Promotor
