Welt Magazine #7 out, Holy Unicycle!

For all of you Welt fans out there, the ones that enjoy looking at scantily clad women and paintball videos, this post is for you because Welt issue #7 is out.

I didn't get past the first page, but maybe you will. The paintball unicycle was all I needed to get my "Welt Magazine fill." To download and subscribe to Welt magazine, hit up the Welt Magazine website and enter you email address. Afterall, subscribing is the only way you can view Welt Magazine goodness.

I just can't seem to hate Welt Magazine enough to stop posting about it. Its just too visually enticing to give up writing about, oh well, here's to future posts about this free paintball magazine.

How can you help?
One of my goals for this site is for it to rank in the top 3 or so sites on www.top40paintball.com. It'd be amazing if it were, and I can only do it with your help. All you have to do is click on the banner to the left to be taken to the voting page. Once there find the pain4glory banner and click on it, that's it. Its quick and simple and yet it helps me out a lot. Knowing the site is growing keeps me motivated and ultimately gives you something new to look at every day, so help a brother out!

With the many thousands of websites available for sale every day and the many thousands that are sold its not uncommon to find a couple of paintball websites in the mix.

Many of the paintball websites that are sold just so happen to be sold on eBay. However, some of the more valuable ones I have found up for grabs have been listed for sale on website marketplaces like DealASite and various forums like Digital Point and even PbNation.

It seems that paintball websites are often sold in bursts when webmasters decide its time to move on to something else. The dry spells in between these bursts can be extremely long, but one thing is for sure, eBay has had a healthy supply of paintball websites available for sale for quite some time.

Below you can find a number of paintball websites for sale on eBay, many of which are online paintball stores. If you are lucky you might find a more established paintball website up for grabs, but if there isn't any at this moment then be sure to check back frequently as paintball websites are listed for sale just about every day.

Tippmann Prototype Rumored Stolen at PSP World Cup

Supposedly Tippmann misplaced their prototype, or more likely it was stolen. I'm not sure I would take the below snippet as a press release however because it just doesn't look formal enough to be one. However, if something valuable was stolen from you I'm sure you would get the word out ASAP, which very well could be what Tippmann has done on Oct 23rd during the PSP World Cup in Orlando, FL.

Statement from Tippmann Sports

This morning, a prototype of one of our new products was stolen from PSP World Cup in Orlando, Fla.

At this very moment, we are working with our colleagues in the paintball community to gather further information and leads. We have already had someone providehelpful information about the theft. A police report regarding the incident has been filed.

We want to remind the person or individuals that possesses our stolen property that any information leaked or shared, resulting in damage to Tippmann, will be prosecuted.

What was this prototype? Some people are claiming it is a new pistol design Tippmann had been working on for a while. I'm a little skeptic about this though, because one quick look through Tippmann's recent news section (on their website) reveals nothing about them debuting a Tippmann prototype at World Cup.

Here are there most recent press releases. I can only find news on their recent rebate programs, and a couple new upgrades for their existing line of paintball markers. Nothing about a prototype.

Tippmann had enough incentives to draw people to their booth, why would they even bother having a prototype at their booth? Even if they DID have a prototype at their booth, why wouldn't they let people know about it in their press release. Another thing... if it was so confidential why would they bring it along with them?

Even in this video taken by Mike from TechPb of Tippmann's booth at World Cup 2008 you find nothing on this prototype. No news of it, and no news about a stolen one.

I don't know about you, but I'm frustrated with just hearing rumors and supposed press releases that are just emails. I want to see the news come directly from Tippmann, not some forum user that talked to a friend that talked to a friend that talked to a dude that overheard someone say they read in an email that something was going down.

I agree with what this forum user posted about this whole ordeal...

I have been part of some of these discussions Tippmann is reffering to.

All I got to say, if they want real player feed back, read the threads and see what the players really think and really want. Asking a handfull of people is not the same as getting opinions from the masses.

First off, Tippmann needs a factory rep on these forums. You expel bad info with good info. We deal in what we have because Tippmann wants to be G14 Classified. Get a rep on the forums!!!! Not your dealers, a factor rep. Second, be up front with what your doing. We shouldnt have to guess. Like the X7 for example. We get that Tippmann is coming out with a new marker, but not much else. Tell us up front that its based off the A5, but its milsim based with several factory upgrades. We learn a new markers coming out, but no real details. So obviously some of the people are disappointed when it isn't what we are hoping for. That can be fixed by telling people what it is your going to build to sell us. Now don't think it can be kept a secret. Its gonna get out that a new marker is in development. It always does.

Okay, this here by ends my semi rant, and advice post for Tippmann.

Reading hearsay that's supposed to be news in a forum is a waste of time and only harbors more rumors. I understand building hype around a product can be great for new product launches. The thing is however, people can't argue with what they see. Instead of releasing short written email blips that vaguely describe what you are creating, make a video that no one can misinterpret. A well produced video can get the viewer on the edge of their seat until your release date... a vague email on the other hand just creates hearsay and rumors which can potentially lead to disappointment on the consumers end.

Co2 As An Insecticide

Put your co2 tank to good use and use it to get rid of pesky ants! Thats right, supposedly if you pour club soda down an ant hill the ants will suffocate from the carbon dioxide released from it.

Does this give you any ideas? Next time you have an ant infestation just cover your house with plastic and let your tanks empty (you'll probably need a lot of tanks). You won't have to worry about the harmful insecticides left behind if you use co2, it's safer for the environment!

Got a fire ant hill in your back yard? Puncture a small 12 gram co2 canister and fume agate those pests! Just make sure you stand back. See... paintball solves the worlds problems.

Get Paid to Write About Paintball

Here's a way you can make money with something you love.

Paintball Times, an online paintball publication that boasts 5.4 million visitors a month and claims to be the number one most visited paintball website has a program that far fewer even know about.

They are willing to pay $25 or even more for quality articles about paintball. So, if you enjoy writing and love to research paintball then get in the game. It's a pretty good opportunity for anyone wanting to make some extra cash writing about something they enjoy, so take a look at what the guidelines are here.

An article a day can make you about $750 extra a month, which comes out to 15 cases of paint. Now I'm not sure that they are still doing this, as it looks like their website is a little out of date, however, it wouldn't hurt to try as you really have nothing to lose.

If you are looking for more ways to make money for paintball, another great website for you to consider investing some time into is Squidoo. There you can make your own page on just about anything you are interested in and make money from it. Its not uncommon for especially well made pages to bring in $100 or more a month for some people. I have a couple of pages on Squidoo, even one I use to get free paintball gear.

You probably are getting tired of using Google Earth to see what paintball fields look like from space, we'll now you can do something else with it.

Frappr took the power of Google Earth and created a cool little web based application called a "Social Map." You know what this means right? Now you can see what the worldwide distribution of paintballers looks like. All you have to do is join up on the map by clicking it twice, once to activate it and the second on the Join button. It's pretty easy, just join up and post a shout out, represent your turf... you know... let everyone know where the real ballers play. You can join in as a team, an individual player, a paintball field, a paintball business, you name it, just select what you are and let the world know you exist.

It will be interesting to see what this map looks like after everyone joins in, so help out by letting the paintball community know about it. Copy and paste the code below onto your myspace page, blog or website so your friends can join in too.
