Want to get into stock class paintball? Stock class is a fun part of paintball, and appeals to the paintballer looking for a slower paced game that can be enjoyed in its entirety. A lot of paintball is lost on the fast paced speedball field, as skill can be replaced with heaping amounts of paint and fast high end paintball guns. If you are fed up with that style of play, or just want a cheaper avenue in paintball to roll in, then consider stock class paintball - its affordable, fun, and can make you a better player. If you are ready to get into this great branch of paintball, here are the top 3 pump paintball guns you should consider for use in stock class paintball. CCI Phantom Perhaps one of the most well known high-performance pumps out there. The CCI Phantom is highly customizable and incredibly small. It boasts excellent accuracy, and quality design, making it a marker that will last and last. After owning one for 2 years I can say its definitively a great pump. It's lightweight, easy to cock, and easy to convert to stock class and back. The starting retail price for a very basic stock class phantom is $209, but again, I resold mine on eBay for $200 and it had much more on it. Manufacturer: Component Concepts Inc. Stock Class Sterling STP The Sterling has always been popular in paintball, and now it has finally made a full fledged turn into stock class paintball. The Sterling STP is a super modified Sterling fitted with all the necessaries for stock class play. It even has a feed that can be reversed to accept hoppers, which is handy when you want to play with a normal hopper. Also featured on it is a quick change 12 gram adapter, which can be placed on the bottom of the grip or vertically, or even swapped out with a regulator and bottomline tank setup. The STP retails for $319. You can sometimes find them for sale on eBay, or at Shop4Paintball. Manufacturer: Arrow Precision. Carter Buzzard The Carter Buzzard has been around for quite some time (well, so have all of these pump guns..), and has made quite an impression on pump paintball players. Its small design and quality milling make it both attractive and very light. It retails for $600, but can be found used on eBay for much less. Manufacturer: Carter Machine. These are just 3 stock class paintball guns that happen to be the most commonly used. 2 others you might want to look into would be the CCM T2 (which will soon have a stock feed accessory available), and the Palmer Super Stocker. The War Machine Assault 80 was a unique paintball marker - unique in that the barrel moved when it shot. Its History - Misunderstood Back in early 2000's when it was being sold, many paintballers were turned off by this "different" looking paintball marker. However, those that could care less about looks and cared more about performance, took note of the War Machine Assault 80. Many found that its spool valve operation, and 80psi operating pressure made it unbelievably efficient. Its a shame more players didn't get past its looks... Features of The War Machine Assault 80 Functions at only 80psi - unbelievable efficiency - 1500+shots with a 68cu 3000psi. Designed with easy maintenance in mind - Only One internal moving part that Will NEVER Wear Out. Push Button Electronic Velocity and Rate of Fire Adjustments - the first of it's kind. (No more Allen Keys needed) Dual Regulators CO2 or Nitrogen Adjustable Trigger Group Adjustable Feed Port For Left or Right Hand Warp Feed Optional upgrades Included High performance solenoid Vertical reg supercharger Tactile anti-chop eye Voice recognition module Online programmable downloads Upgrade triggers (coming soon - floating trigger) High performance spool valve Recoilless breech (allows use of cocker barrels & increases rate of fire) Upgrade select fire EPROM The War Machine Assault 80 is just an example of how a great marker can slip through the ever growing "popularity" filter many paintballers have. In fact, I kept one around just to remind myself how looks and popularity do NOT always determine the quality of the product. Take Smart Parts for example... they are popular AND pieces of shit. In fact, they have been responsible for closing out many great names in paintball (Action Markers and AKA for example), all so they could continue pushing crap markers like the ION. See it Shoot This video happens to be of an Assault 80 with a Stationary Barrel Kit, eyes, faster board, and warp feed. The Assault 80 was truly a great paintball marker. It was affordable (priced at just $180), efficient, and despite its looks - felt great in the hands. Although misunderstood, the WM A-80 is a great reminder of how a majority of shallow preferences can drown out quality craftsmanship. If you would like to own a piece of history, you can find this marker up for sale on eBay. I am downsizing my collection and my WM A-80 just so happens to be one of the markers that must find a new home. If you missed out on owning one before, here's your chance. Read More →
Paintball is a fun, popular activity, and manufacturers have created a wide variety of options and styles at all different cost levels, even in the $1,000 range. But, do not be fooled into thinking you have to spend a small fortune to get into the game. There are many quality paintball guns priced under $150, so anyone can join in the excitement of paintball. BT-4 Combat Paintball Gun This gun touts a lightweight aluminum construction, which makes for a durable gun that is easy to carry. This is a semi-automatic gun that has Picatanny rails to attach accessories; it is accurate to around 150 feet, and it is able to shoot 13 balls per second. This gas and compressed air compatible gun only costs $109. Piranha GTI Rampage Paintball Gun This is a tournament grade semi-automatic, 10 shot per second paintball gun that is priced around $120. And, since the GTI Rampage has a double trigger frame, a player is able to put two fingers at once on the trigger, allowing for a faster shot per second rate. This aluminum, corrosion resistant gun has an adjustable velocity screw and a rear cocking knob. Kingman Spyder MR1 Tactical Paintball Gun At $139.95, this military-style semi-automatic gun comes in a matte finish of black or olive to reduce glare, making it great for play on wooded fields. This gun has a slide pull-out pin, 2 finger aluminum trigger frame, and it has a no slip rubber grip that provide the paintball player with a comfortable, steady hold during play. Kingman Spyder RT Paintball Gun This $144 aluminum gun has a double finger trigger, runs on gas or compressed air, and has four adjustable firing rates: fully automatic, semi-automatic, 3 round burst, and 6 round burst. There is also a semi-automatic lock to meet most tournament standards. Another great feature: an anti-chop double ball feed system that will keep every shot consistent and smooth. Kingman Spyder Xtra Paintball Gun This gun comes in a matte black or pewter finish and is completely aluminum; it runs on gas or compressed air, has a 2 finger trigger, and a 10 inch barrel, making it ideal for scenario players. Also, this $139.95 gun shoots an impressive 240 to 300 feet per second. And, when you need to perform maintenance, it has a Tool Free Striker Plug. Tippmann Custom 98 ACT Platinum Series Paintball Gun This $149, semi-automatic Tippmann gun is made from aluminum die-cast and runs on gas or compressed air. With a 200 capacity hopper, 150 feet accuracy range, 19.6 inches total length, 8 balls per second firing range, quick release feeder elbow, and a removable front grip, the paintball player will find this gun to be highly versatile. Tippmann US Army Basic Paintball Gun. There is nothing “basic” about this paintball gun. The $139.99, electric powered, die-cast aluminum gun features an 11 inch ported barrel for better accuracy and greater noise reduction and an eGrip frame. Whatever the player's firing needs are, this gun can meet it with 5 different options: turbo, automatic, semi-automatic, full safety auto, and a 3 shot burst. Tippmann US Army Project Salvo Paintball Gun For only $149.99, this pain gun has an aluminum die-cast receiver, stainless steel gas line, and quite a lot of features. First, this semi-automatic touts a folding and collapsible stock, front shroud with Picatinny rails, 11 inch quick thread barrel, and a high performance in-bolt system. The most convenient feature: the magazine clip that also functions as a tool kit. Worr Games MG-7 Paintball Gun This $139 paintball gun has features and great looks. It is a black, thermoplastic, lightweight gun with a gray flame design. This gun is not only about looks, but also about playability. The features a paintball player will appreciate the most: 12 inch barrel, adjustable regulator with gauge, low pressure operation, and the ability to shoot 20 paintballs per second. Worr Games Synergy Equalizer Paintball Gun Players will be surprised what $144.95 can buy them. This gun comes with a LED light system that indicates the firing mode and battery status. It features an open bolt system, which is perfect for every skill level, and it can shoot up to 22 balls per second. Weighing only 2 pounds and 3 ounces, this gun can be easily carried around the field. 10 Paintball Guns, All Under $150 No matter what brand of paintball gun you decide to purchase, any of the above models will not disappoint. Coming soon from Planet Eclipse, the Etek 3 LT and Etek 3 AM are set to be released later this month. From what I understand, the Etek 3 LT and AM have 3 new features. From what I also understand, there seems to be quite a bit of debate between Etek owners about the worthiness of upgrading to the Etek 3. I will say this, if you feel like you just bought an Etek 2 and still like it, then its perfectly fine if you decide to sit this update out. After-all, you don't need to upgrade every year to the "newest of newest" releases. In fact, your not alone if you feel Planet Eclipse is spitting out new releases faster than you need them: A Couple User Comments on The Etek 3 on PbNation HBDm8Balla said... i hope theirs no etek3 soon... etek 2s r great! to me they dont need an improvement! just my thoughts tho. Redneckballer said... I don't know why you all are so wanting an Etek 3 to come out so bad.... so we can all see the value of our Etek2's fall even more than it already has???????? I'm with ya if you hate updating all the time. Its completely obnoxious to see year old gear become "obsolete..." but before you go off hating the Etek 3 because it slashed your Etek 2's value in half, read a little more just so you know what your missing out on. For those of you that have never owned an Etek or Planet Eclipse marker before should PLEASE keep reading. You very well might decide to jump on the Eclipse bandwagon. Differences Between The Etek 2 and Etek 3 There are only a couple differences between the Etek 2 and Etek 3: Milling - a new milling job that makes it look sleeker in my opinion Faster Bolt Cycle - the solenoid is hose-less, and now pumps air directly into the body Smaller Ram Casing - this makes the back of the marker a little smaller TechPB and Eclipse Going Over the Differences Between the AM and LT Soooo, basically the only differences between the LT and AM is the "AM" is an all metal version that comes with an all metal frame, all metal feed neck, and all metal eye covers. The LT has composite eye covers, feed neck, and frame. My 2 Cents I think its great they are offering 2 versions of the Etek 3. Why? Because having a cheaper version allows players on a budget to get into the Etek line for less than usual - they get all the benefits of an Etek for less. I also like that Planet Eclipse didn't compromise what was on the inside when designing a cheaper variant (the Etek 3 AM). In an effort to make the Etek 3 more affordable they cut cost in the "shell" of the marker - a part that has the least effect on performance, if any at all. This is just another reminder that Planet Eclipse is serious about performance and yet recognizes a need for affordable, high performance markers. Its rare to see that kind of devotion. I Want an Etek 3, But Which Should I Get? AM or LT? What Planet Eclipse would like paintballers to do is buy the LT for $475 if they are on a budget, and then upgrade their LT with an all metal body kit later on when they have the money. This way you can feel the performance of an Etek 3 for much cheaper and upgrade when you feel the need to. For those that have never owned a Planet Eclipse marker, or let alone an Etek, then NOW is the time to get one. The Etek 3 AM is affordable ($475), and offers the chance for any outsider to experience an Etek for cheaper than usual. Its no myth that RAP4 makes incredibly realistic paintball markers - so realistic that not only are the eyes of milsim paintball maniacs on them, but also the military and law enforcement. Each year there is an award given out to those that introduce an innovative technology that has practical use for Law Enforcement. This year, the RAP4's very own T68 SplitFire was the recipient of the 2009 Innovations Award. See what Makes the T68 SplitFire So Innovative As you can see, the T68 SplitFire has what RAP4 calls a Dual Feed System. You can simultaneously switch between using the ammo clip or hopper. When I first saw it I was thinking, "How sweet! You can use First Strike rounds and normal paintballs..." but no, not the case. First off, first strike rounds are made for the Tiberius line of markers, not RAP4, which blows. Secondly, the clip uses normal .68 caliber paintballs, as does the hopper. Is The SplitFire Practical For a Normal Paintballer? If you think about it, having a spare 18 round clip to use on top of a hopper isn't really that handy (if your a normal paintballer). What difference does 18 rounds make? I've seen some paintballers say that the clip could be used for better quality paintballs... but whats the point? If your using crappy paint in your hopper and one of those break then guess what, the 18 rounds of "quality paint" in the clip are pretty useless. Its like having a better sidearm then your primary - it just doesn't make sense. I Don't Care What You Say, I'm a Normal Paintballer And I Think The SplitFire is SICK... I guess if you get your rocks off loading a clip, by all means go for the SplitFire. i will say, the marker does have some practical features - it is easily disassembled and built out of quality materials, ANNNNDDD it comes with a 5 year warranty. <--- I like that. Why Law Enforcement Officials Love the SplitFire The T68 SplitFire definitely has more practical use for the military and law enforcement. The Dual Feed System makes it easy for law enforcement and military trainees to use two different types of .68 caliber projectiles for different roles in a real life simulation. For instance, what this means is they can switch to ceramic rounds in the clip if they need to breach a window, and back to pepper rounds in the hopper to mess the people on the other side up. Or, better yet, when pepper rounds aren't doing the trick you could switch to the clip source and send a couple rubber rounds their way... Other Possible Military/Law Enforcement Applications Police and Military Training - With high velocity options, the SplitFire will ensure that all personnel will remember when they screw up. Simply put, they will leave training with "Welts to remember." Riot Control - With many clip/hopper combinations, you can cater your ammo to a specific situation. You can carry less lethal rubber paintballs to deliver a sting no person can deny, and capsaicin rounds to disperse a rioting crowd. Not shooting Reed. A Word of Caution I like to always enforce though, that less lethal rounds in a paintball marker are simply "less lethal" than other options. A paintball marker in the wrong hands can already be lethal. So... what the heck is a paintball marker loaded with rubber, ceramic, or even pepper balls shooting at over 350 FPS? When you add these elements to a paintball marker, you put it on a whole different level. While the SplitFire (when used with less lethal rounds) is not as lethal as the FN303, it still should be used with extreme-don't-shoot-anyone-in-"iffy"-parts caution. In my opinion, "less lethal" could be a paintball marker shooting rubber rounds at 350-400 FPS, anything over 450 FPS is just fack-ing-re-dic-u-lous. Its something else. If your a law enforcement official, please, turn down your velocity before you shoot me with one of these I'm a Paintballer, Should I Get The T68 SpitFire? The T68 SplitFire is without doubt a handy tool for the military and law enforcement, yes, but not all that handy for normal paintball use. I can see how it is highly recommended to enforcement officials, but if you are a paintballer looking for an innovative yet practical marker, your better off spending $399 on an X7 Phenom(or getting a different marker from RAP4) than $475 for the SplitFire. Still Set On RAP4? Here Are Some Other RAP4 Markers For Sale on eBay If you are set on getting a marker from RAP4, why not get one for cheaper on eBay. Used or new, it doesn't matter, you can often find better deals than you would if you bought direct. The AK47 and Special Edition Alpha are both markers worth looking into. They look. Beyond. Real. Rocking the patented Flex Valve, the latest design of the X7 can now operate in electronic or mechanical mode with a flick of a switch. This feature is reminiscent of the days of Airguns Designs, a feature found on the E-Mag. It was definitely one of the aspects that set apart the E-Mag when it first came out in 2000. It drew in players that wanted a dependable marker. You essentially have two guns in one, so if the electronics fail or battery dies you can switch to mechanical. Every woods and scenario player can understand the importance of this feature. After all, you never know how long a game is going to last, and no one wants to call themselves out because of a dead battery. See it in Action The X7 Phenom is very compact, easy to operate, maintain, and extremely versatile. With all of the upgrade options out there for Tippmann paintball guns, outgrowing the Phenom as a player is virtually impossible. Simply put, you will only outgrow this marker if you lose interest in woodsball. The Phenom retails for $399, a hundred or so more than the original X7. What you get with the Phenom however is the new Flex Valve, which gives you the benefits of an electro and mechanical paintball gun all in one, and not to mention, the durability of a Tippmann. Angel A1 Fly Laser Eyes Now AvailableI am very pleased to announce that after weeks of extensive testing by several Angel owners and Angel techs that I am now able to offer drop-in compatible wired laser eyes in red, blue, green and yellow for the Angel A1 and A1 Fly in addition to my standard Angel laser eyes. As always, drop-in compatible means exactly that - no pins, no jimmy rigging, and no modifications necessary. These eyes plug directly into the ribbon eye socket on any stock or aftermarket Angel A1 or A1 Fly board, including the all-new Mojo Board. The ultra-thin wires fit underneath the single piece or three piece eye covers. More durable than the factory ribbon eyes - no more worrying about breaking or tearing a fragile plastic ribbon. Emitter and receiver can be purchased separately or together, and can be mixed and matched with the factory eye ribbons. View full post on PbNation - Paintball News Read More →

Finally, introducing a reliable, realistic looking pneumatic launcher, which mimicks the looks and function of an AT-4 anti-tank weapon. Produced here in the USA the 11C AT-4 offers those who want a realistic means for launching nerf like projectiles, or clusters of paint marking pellets or even airsoft pellets a great way to add a new level of reality to their next paintball, airfsoft or MIL-SIM event. The 11C comes in two versions, the basic model, as seen in these photos and a deluxe version which ALSO features a foregrip and fixed sight. Both versions are capable of launching 'Nerf' type projectiles to a range of 100 + yards.
